For you, as you build and watch over a digital memorial space for a beloved family member.
This manual will walk you through, step by step: accepting your invitation, tending to the memorial space, inviting family to take part, archiving photos and life stories, and — if you are the “Honoree” — setting aside a series of “Time Letters” for the people you love.
We understand that reaching for a platform like this often happens in a time of longing and loss. May this become a warm, quiet place where memories can be kept for a long time to come.
Your Role: Primary Manager
Every memorial space has one Primary Manager (Primary). This is the “head steward” of the space — holding the most complete set of permissions, and carrying the most important responsibility of care.
| Role | Name on screen | What they can do |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Manager | Primary Manager | Manage members, archive content, governance settings (transfer, Successor, archiving) — all of it |
| Co-Editor | Co-Editor (some menus show “Editor” / 編輯者) | Edit all content together (life story, media, cover, etc.), but cannot change members |
| Viewer | Viewer (some menus show “Viewer” / 檢視者) | Browse and view only, cannot edit |
There are also two independent “identity flags” that operate separately from the roles above:
- Honoree (isHonoree): means “this account belongs to the person being remembered, used during their lifetime.” Only the Honoree can see and use the “Time Letters” feature (see Chapter 6). This flag is set by your dedicated Account Manager, and once set, it is fixed.
- Successor: you may designate one member as the “Successor,” a marker of your wish for a future handover. In the current version this is a pure marker and does not automatically transfer any permissions (see Chapter 4).
💡 A small note — the wording on screen may differ slightly The platform currently uses slightly different names for the same role on different screens: the member list says “Co-Editor / Viewer,” while the change-role or governance menus may show “Editor / Viewer” (編輯者 / 檢視者). They all refer to the same role. Please rest assured, this does not affect any feature.
