# Manager Manual

> Applicable role: **Manager**
> Version: Corresponds to the current state of the staging test site (as verified in UAT run 1／2 on 2026-07-20). This manual describes the interface **actually operable in the current version**; features that exist in the specification but are not yet provided in the current UI are clearly marked "not available in the current version" within each chapter.

## Role Overview

A Manager is responsible for **managing a group of Account Managers (AMs)** and may also act as an operator themselves, directly creating and maintaining memorial spaces. The governance hierarchy is as follows:

| Level | Role | What they can do (relative to this manual) |
|---|---|---|
| Level 3 (highest) | Tenant Admin | Create／remove all Managers and Account Managers, bulk-import niches, system settings |
| **Level 2** | **Manager ← this manual** | Invite and manage **Account Managers**, reassign affiliations, set delegates, view the memorial spaces and audit logs of their own team |
| Level 1 | Account Manager (AM) | Create and maintain the memorial spaces of their own clients |

**Permission boundaries (important)**:

- A Manager **can only invite Account Managers**; they **cannot** invite or create other Managers (that is a Tenant Admin privilege).
- A Manager **cannot see** the "Tools" or "Manager Management" pages (see Chapter 6).
- All the lists a Manager sees (memorial spaces, audit logs) are **limited to their own team** (themselves + their Account Managers), not the whole tenant.

- The production URL will be announced separately.
- The business back office account and the family-facing (digital memorial platform) account are **two independent accounts**; even with the same email they are not shared. This manual covers only the business back office.
